do you feel yourself getting older or younger?

i still remember when i was around 17-18 years old, all the people who don't know me thought that i were in my 30s (based on my looks). there was a salesperson asked me to buy a wedding ring as he said people who are in their 30s like me should get married. even my neighbours thought that i was in my 30s that time. but now after more than 10 years had passed, all the new people that i met thought that i were still a student. and for those whom i met during my work thought that i were either still a trainee or just a fresher in the company (based on my looks). so, i am happy to learn that i am getting younger and not older. how about you?

looks always deceive. they say one can tell the personality of the other by just looking at the looks. for me, having a young look is based on the lifestyle too. stress is one of the factors that can affect one's look. if you're not entertaining too much stress then your looks would not be affected.

can i know why 28 is the perfect age? is it because it is the time when we have achieved most of the needs in our life?

...no...for me its in real order..when i was younger i looked younger..and now i look matured..even some of the grays confirm it....though i color them...wrinkles open up the secret ...but i am happy ..no problem to accept the reality...if someone tells me teasing...(my hubby does that many times)...that u look 10 years older than your age...i accept it gladly..

I must have been away when you started this discussion, haha!~I must say that image does play an important part, a huge influence on whether one looks younger or older. As for me, it's quite funny that some people think I'm just a student because of my boyish looks; yet on the other hand a lot of people think that I'm older than their kids when in fact their kids are much older than me, I guess it's because of the way I carry myself

yes, the doctors lie to you but not because those in their 80s get around better than you do. i believe it should be in the other way round. don't be too negative with yourself. i don't see you are so old or weak from your photo.

I have the same experience with you. At 19 I might look like older, I was a new student in that univeriity, it was first day of chool and I was in a hurry trying to look for my room, I was approaching when a bunch of student run inside the room and made themselves sitdown in their respective seats when I entered and I asked them if this is the room for this subject? and they all laugh out loud because I was yhe profesor they were looking for. But of course when I was reaching late 20's it was a compliment to know that I was always mistaken as the younger sister of my siblings.

What you did to look younger?Did you loose weight? What else? Just curious to know. I was little overweight when i was 16-18 and yes i look old too.I am far better right now.I jog daily early morning and its been few years now and it has started showing effect.I also take care of food so i look younger than my friends. I think i have got younger too.

Hi, there. I realise I am already old but I don't feel I am getting old(er). I have tested my physical indurance and it's proved that I am getting better in terms of physical stregth. I still work out at least 3 times a week and I don't smoke at all. I think we are the same. We both feel that we are getting younger.

yeah everyone has different opinions about other's self appearance. that's why i prefer to hear from people who are not close to me. just now a lorry driver (who is more than 10 years younger than me) called me little boy. i bet if he knows the truth he still won't believe it.

Well personally it is always nice to have people think that you are younger than you are. What seems to aggrivate me the most, are people who sometimes think I am older, especially the people that are from another race. Now I know the picture on here is about 5 yrs. old or so so I do not look like this still, but I feel I have not really changed that much. But when you get to be late 40s you will appreciate people thinking you are younger for sure.

sorry for my very late reply. yes, i do agree that we will be more appreciate people thinking we are younger when we get to be late 40s. i don't quite like people to consider i were younger now because people will think that i were still a kid to decide certain thing eventhough i am actually not that young and is very well qualified to decide things.

I feel the same as I did when I turned eighteen. Mature but child-like still inside, I think it's the best way when you have children because you can relate to how they are. I love being able to make them laugh by being silly, it's ever so funny to watch their faces burst into laughter. (just like the picture in my profile) I wouldn't say I feel twenty three though but I don't know what age I feel, I'm confused now. LOL

Based on some of the things that I've been through in my life, I really do feel like I am able to feel myself getting older as opposed to feeling significantly younger than I really am. If I had not been through the birth of two children, a miscarriage and also the loss of both my father and all of my grandparents before the time I was thirty years old, I do believe that I would feel like I was younger than my biological age.

I don't really feel myself getting that much older. When a year passes from birthday to birthday, there is really not that much of a change. Or at least not enough for me really take a huge notice. Therefore, I am not going to really register a change of how old I am in my mind from a year to year basis. It is hard to believe that I am in my twenties however. Still looking within five years, I do feel myself getting older. How I felt five years ago is a bit different from how I feel right now or how I think I'll feel five years from now. I think that there are more changes that are coming before too long. Still with getting older comes valuable experience, so their is in fact a silver lining to everything. So we'll see what is going to happen. Still not feeling too much older or even younger, which means I'm aging rather naturally.

sometimes people tend to rush things out and wished to accelerate to become older when they were in fact younger, ironically, older people would find a way to look younger and hold on to their youthfulness which is quite impossible. i think, we should act our age and let the changes be seen, that is life in process.

yes, this is really a true scenario whereby younger people wished to look old or mature while older people wished to hold on to their youthfulness.

The disparity of age and looks varies from person to person. Some look older than their age;others have worn well considering their age.It is related to genetic, for example, some come up grey hair early. In addition,It has something to do with the mood.As the saying goes, care kills a cat.

yes, you are right. sometimes it has to do with our mood, or more accurately the pressure or stress that we are having daily. if you don't have much pressure and you live happily every day, i bet you could look very young.
