Wow , that is good, I am so used to everything having some type of tax that i have not thought of item not having tax except for food now i am thinking about it. That would classify as food. My daughter had to a report on on India fashion just not too long ago. That was difficult since we have real magazines or information that can be cut out.

I live in Florida and sell on eBay. We don't have a state sales charge in Florida so I do not charge. however, I heard people are saying soon there will be sales charge on all internet sales. Amazon is fighting this.

I've never had an online transaction that was in the same state that I live in, so I've never had to charge sales tax on my transactions. However, if I understand it correctly, if I was to sell something to someone in the same state that I live in, then I would have to charge sales tax on the item. Additionally, I have a small business selling Tupperware and whenever I make a transaction with that, I do have to pay sales tax on the item that I've sold. It does't matter if my customer lives here in Kentucky or if they live in another state, if I manually enter the order I have to charge them 6% sales tax.
