Thanks to Dloveli for giving me an advice on how to get rid of the doggie smell. I tried her suggestion of adding cornstarch to my doggie's shampoo and using conditioner for humans lol and the trick worked! The cornstarch enhanced the smell of the shampoo and conditioner, my dog is a white jack russell terrier with spots...it made my dog's coat looked whiter and best of all it eliminated the doggie smell she has. She looked more cleaner after the cornstarch bath! 10 doggie paws to dl!

wow thak you and Dloveli for that tip. every time i bath coconut she smells worse till she dry's completely afterwards. i should have seen this discussion sooner as i just bought some expensive 20 bucks shampoo online for coco, since son complains about the smell when i bath her. this month every bit of extra money seems to be going on her. but shes my baby so what you going to do right?

Is that your dog bunny? jack russell too? well, don't scrimp on your pet I say she deserves some good products but try to find discount products and browse on tips online so you won't have to spend so much. For her shampoo I just use English Pride from Harisson's and is just over $1 and then use cornstarch and she is good to go. I also changed her soap to doctor's pet herbal soap quite pricey for me but then the results are great so that's fine. by the way do you ever use a furminator?

Be sure and check with your vet, sometimes it is not healthy for the animal to use for human use products on your dog. (the hair conditioner)

Living in the middle of the USA I don't have the heat to deal with or the humidity. I get all my pet supplies and meds from 1-800-pets online. I use my Big Crumbs account and the mail to save money on all of it. I save about 5% plus get up to 12% back in cash from Big Crumbs. Just log in and save, if you don't have the link message me and I will send it.

Yay for your dog not having a doggie smell anymore. I'm definitely going to keep this suggestion in mind for my dogs as well. Our little dog never really has a distinctive doggie smell, but our bigger dog does have a tendency to smell like a dog from time to time and this would be a great way to keep Michela smelling better which would in turn result in our house smelling better. Thank you dl for giving this suggestion to candyfairy and thank you candyfairy for sharing this with everyone.

Hi candyfairy21, I don't have a dog; I didn't keep one because my kids don't want to have them around because we have three cats. I wish I can get one; I love dogs and they're so lovable. I had a pet dog since I was about 8 till 18 years old. When I started to have a job, I gave up a dog as a pet because I'm so busy and I don't have time to care for it. Spend a lot of your time for your dog and here's hoping for her good health.

I'm so sorry that you can't have a dog. I wish someday you could have one. They are so adorable even when they misbehave. Just like little kids you know lol. Yes I spend a lot of time with my little one.
