Our founding Fathers had a novel ideas at the time. Lets form a country where people are free to govern themselves and to have different States have different laws. Over the years we have strayed from this idea and the Federal Government has become bigger and bigger and making the States more and more alike. This morning I heard Glenn Beck suggest that States that want a strong federal government could join together and those who want more state control form a different group. In his ideal state people would all work or if they could not work they would have to find a church or group that would help them out. Basically the states would operate on the Free Marked Principals. If you wanted to have a more socialist type state where the state controlled and provided more you could find such a state and move there. If we did this what type of State do you think would emerge as stronger and grow? Please explain why and defend your answer. Which one would you choose to live in?
