Xoom Online:Is this safe?

Lately, my friend from the US told me that she would send her money through xoom online, at first I am worried, but then I just ignore my worry because I am sure this is safe, still I cannot ignore the fact that giving important financial detail is somewhat not safe. I am still confuse, is xoom online is safe and secure?anybody experience sending and receiving money through xoom online?please share your ideas. Thank you.

i guess its sAfe.. Im also about to receive money through xoom this friday or saturday.. i will let you know... but I heard a lot from other people that xoom is really good. they also have very little amount of charges when receiving the money...

is she doing it via bank transfer? because you can just actually get the money via other xoom outlets like mlhuillier, globe and nay other business center accredited by xoom....

I did used xoom before and it was ok. They worked very similar to paypal but I think they had higher fees I just couldn't remember exactly how much. If in case there would be some problem like the payment was not credited to you but has been deducted from the payor after a few days the money will be credited back to payor. I had that problem before but xoom was fast to act on it. However, I used paypal after coz I can directly withdraw it from my account. With xoom you will have to claim it from the banks like BDO.

Hello,
thanks for this useful information, this helps a lot!I will tell my friend to pay me via paypal instead of xoom. Because I am using paypal for online money transactions since 2008 and quite use to the method, so I would stick with it. Thanks and God bless!
