THIS RECIPE MAY SOUND VERY STRANGE BUT BELIEVE ME IT IS TOTALLY DELICIOUS!! It is a chocolate cake especially designed for people who are dieting ( it is low fat and sugar free) or diabetic, but it is truly scrummy!! Semolina Chocolate Cake 30g Spenda or any artificial sweetener 1 small can of prunes in juice – 213g drained and pitted 50g Cocoa powder 1 teaspoon Vanilla essence 150ml skimmed milk 3 large eggs 50g semolina Preheat oven to Gas Mark 4/180°C/350°F. Mist a 23cm (9”) tin with spray oil. Line base with greaseproof (I prefer baking parchment) Place half the sugar in a blender with prunes, cocoa powder, vanilla extract and milk. Blend for about 15-20 secs until smooth. Whisk eggs and remaining sugar with electric beaters until very light – about 6 mins. Stir in chocolate mixture gently using a metal spoon. Fold in semolina. Pour into tin Bake for about 40 mins or until a skewer comes out clean. Cool completely before turning out (it will fall apart otherwise!!) the cake will shrink back slightly as it cools. ENJOY

Semolina is duram flour that pasta is made out of but you can replace it with regular flour, I have made this cake on several occassions and it is lovely!!

The simplest chocolate cake recipe I found is not using any dairy products or eggs. Just mix flour, cocoa, sugar, and vegetable oil.It turns out moist and chewy. It is good for those who are vegetarian, don't like eggs or allergic to dairy products.

I love to bake too and I also know how to make chocolate cake. Actually my chocolate cake is the same recipe I have with brownies. Baking procedure vary though but they are still the same. Well, here's my recipe: 2 cups all purpose flour 1 cup chocolate powder (Bensdorp) 6 eggs 2 1/2 cups sugar 1 1/2 tsp baking powder 1 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla 1 tbsp corn syrup First thing that you need to do is melt the butter ans then mix in sugar. Add cocoa powder and mix well. Put eggs one at a time and add in baking powder, baking soda, vanilla and corn syrup. Mix flour into the butter mixture and bake at low temperature. Make sure that the temperature is not too high to keep the cake moist.
