Online Education is the new rend in getting a degree. It is much more convenient ezpecially for busy people. In reality, many people are patronizing it. Some say, "Online education is a simple way to learn foreign language, get professional certificate or increase professionalism with the help of online DIPLOMA" Would it really be effective and reliable? What are the pros and cons of ONLINE DEGREE?

I think for one to truly say that an online degree works or does good is by going around asking companies or employers their point-of-view of these things. If I were to interview someone for a job and I have two choices, one with a University Degree and the other with an Online Degree. I'd first take a look at the skills he/she could really do. How she/he thinks and perceives things. I wouldn't mind which degree they got but I'm more concerned on what they could do. However, going to school physically entails hard work as compared to someone doing it online - don't get me wrong, there are a lot of tasks etc. But you see, the main reason why there are schools is because it serves as a training ground for the person. My degree involves people and I wouldn't want my associates or subordinates to not have the people skills because they didn't get such an experience by taking their degrees online. On the other hand, if the main reason why he/she got it was because he/she had been working while studying and their previous experiences are of great help or contribution to my company, then I would not have second thoughts on hiring them. Just make sure that the online site you are dealing with is accepted by the Department of Education in your area and has certification to give degrees. My cousin was scammed by a school here in our area that offered both regular and online degrees, only to find out in the end that the school lacked a requirement to fully make him a bonafide degree holder of his chosen field.

Okay online degrees can get you good jobs i have an aunt and a cosuin who got their masters online and they are successful in the job field. i myself am currently working on getting my bachelors degree online. i would say the pros are: setting your own schedule basically, doing schoolwork in your pajamas, and if you have a kid its more convient you dont need a sitter. the cons are you do more work then in an actually classroom, you have to be very self diciplined and learn everything on your own. to explain my pros more you basically make your own schedule because when going to a tradditional classroom you have to be their at a certain time on certain days. with online classes you have a set date to turn in the work so you could decide to do schoolwork at tweleve am if you needed to. so that gives you more time to work. second you dont even have to get dressed to be in the classroom because no one can see you. lastly you dont have to find a sitter for your kids you can do your schoolwork when they are sleeping. to explain my cons you have to do more work because you basically have to do discussion boards so the teachers can make sure you understand things. and also comment onother students work. secondly you have to be more self disciplined since you dont have a set time on certain days to log in and do the work. thirdly you dont have a teacher stating everything out to you. if you dont understand something you have to do the research yourself.
