What do you do when your head aches?

I experience this most of the time and oftentimes it just happens without no clear, prior reason. This afternoon was an exemption because I stared at a computer monitor the whole afternoon at work and I never got the chance to rest my eyes. So now, I haven't recovered yet from my headache. But how come when you experience headaches and yet you're aware that you haven't done anything to cause it? Confusing, isn't it? It's scary, you know.

Headaches don't really need a reason. Or they might have a reason and you haven't figured out what it is yet. My mom gets headaches from some foods, so she avoids those foods. But she also gets random headaches that seem to have no reason. Usually when I have a headache I can't pin-point a reason for it. I usually just take an Advil.

Thanks for the respond. But I'm not 'fond' of taking medicine or pain relievers for that matter. There are just some moments when we can't explain why parts of body aches, especially our head.

I often have an headache and i think this is cause of my blurred eye so when i feel head ache i wear my eye glasses or sometimes i also get an head ache because i'm lack of sleep so after schooling and work i will take a rest when i go home so I can sleep for a long hours. There is also head ache that I really don't know where it came from so I will take some medicine because of it.

it could be that you need glasses, i had the same problem, then i picked up some over the counter reading glasses and they went away. ive heard that a cup of coffee will constrict blood vessels in the brain and lessen a headache.

Hi, hunterkim_07. Yes, it is scary when a headache can come all of a suddenly. I had an migrane the other day. It came on the side of my head. It hurt too. It felt like a sharp stabbing pain. It lasted for about 10 seconds. I get these when I am stressed, tired, and overwhelmed. It is no fun to get these headaches. I will lay down and relax some. Try doing this. And take some Advil too, and see if this may help you. I hope that you will feel better very soon. Take care.

It is important to rest your eyes after every hour of looking at the computer screen. Even if all you do is move them around for a little while. But, I know it is hard to do that when you are working. I get headaches quite often. I think it is because of allergies. I take some ibuprofen and try to relax if it is too bad. There is nothing you can do really. You just have to wait it out, I guess.

Whenever I get headaches, it's often due to dehydration. It's a specific type of headache behind my eyes. Even when I get headaches that don't feel like dehydration, I tend to drink lots of water anyway. It can't hurt to be hydrated!

Most of my headaches happen without any known reason - and I get several of them each week! There are some causes that I have found, but they are beyond my control, such as humid weather.

i can usually tell if i have a headache coming on and i take ibuprofen to stop it from developing into a full-blown headache. sometimes tho it's too late and when that happens the only thing that will take the headache away is sleep.

I try to just grin and bear it at first, but it gets to the point where I eventually have to take Tylenol. My headaches are not the bad, but there are times where they can be worse than what they usually are.

Usually when I have a headache I am either hungry or else tired. So my cure is either eating or else having a nap. When I take a nap I end up waking a lot better as if I have charged my battery and feel fresh and alert again.

When I get a headache it is usually quite a bad one. It is usually because something has happened in my life that is stressing me out. If I sit in meditation and focus on deep, slow breathing for around 20 minutes, the headache will often disappear. If you have headaches that are inexplainable, it is best to talk to your doctor about it, but usually headaches start in the neck and shoulders where the muscles are being tensed because of some stressful thing that is happening in life. If you are willing to meditation, then you can relax these muscles and the headache can go away without having to take pills or tablets. There is a link on my frofile that will take you to my site that explains more about meditation.. _Derek

Headache is a real pain in the head. It will halt you down and torment you. When my headaches I simply rest and stop thinking anything complicated. Relax and take a deep breath. Sometimes I go and check out my BP because it might be hypertension so better be careful.
