candle - rotating brownout due to power shortage

I usually get bored when the light is off during the night due to power shortage that is happening in our country. It starts from 6pm to 11pm or 12am, no tv or radio, everything around is so quiet and dark. I can't even read or write since we're only using emergency light and candles to help us move and watch our steps. With dim light, it's not advisable to read for it can be harmful to the eyes as they say. That power turn off schedule happens every after 3 days and I find it so boring and upsetting. My 11-month old baby goes irritable during that time and it has become my habit to look for a fan and provide him air manually until he falls to sleep. I get disappointed most of the time. These are the scenarios here in our country. When it rains, it floods but when it doesn't rain for a long period of time, a power shortage happens (rotating brownout). It's stressful and depressing indeed!

I think we are on same boat here ms.eloveriz, you are talking about the power shortage at present here in Mindanao and I am here in Misamis Oriental where we also experience rotating brown outs, and that 6pm-11pm schedule will always make our lives miserable, You are not alone in feeling irritability during brown out, to think that I am too addicted to some TV series and when the schedule falls during those slots it would really make me pissed off.

I really hate rotating brownouts, it's a misery to our part especially when we have kids. They could not stand the darkness and the warmness of the surroundings. I'm happy that it rained today, at least I see a spark of hope that this long drought would be over soon...I wish & pray for more rain, just enough to increase the water levels of hydropower complexes.

yeah...i can relate what you felt about that power shortage because we are in he same country.,it's very difficult if there is no light...much better to have no current during day time than have no current during night time...
