teen pregnancies?

Hi Aleigh, Welcome to Mylot. Way to jump right in! Back when I was a teen in the early 70s, there were no Planned Parenthood places and we could not get birth control without parents permission. There were teen pregnancies but nothing like what you see today. Now they have all the resources to prevent this and it is more prevalent than ever. Of course, no birth control is 100% effective. I know as I was one that got pregnant on birthcontrol and yes...I was taking it right. These kids can go in and get birthcontrol for free and without parent's consent. I don't think that parent's putting them on birth control is the answer. Sadly, I think that many of these teens are deliberatly getting pregnant.

we must feel sorry about them and i think parents must discuss about it to their children teach them what will be the consequences of this and i think the best way was to prevent the teenagers for this bed romp if they really dont want to get pregnant yet then better use contraceptives for safety

Who are we to stop them? when we are too hook up with our own personal lives on how to survive from day to day struggle. Perhaps, we can help them by means of letting them know the hardships in raising a child of their own when they are not yet financially & emotionally stable. Teenagers now are just too curious about so many things that they forgot to realize their responsibility.

Yes it is ridiclous if we thought to stop the pregnancy in teengirls. However, I feel so pity on them. First, they have to burden all the conseqeunces, and second there would be increasing abortion numbers in the world. In my opinion, it is our roles as parents are needed to guide our teenagers..

I think its wrong and stupid. I mean in shows like 16 and Pregnant the teens do the dumbest things while pregnant. For instance in one of the episodes the girl went real fast on speed bumps just so her baby could come faster. Half of them don't even eat as healthy like a pregnant women should.
