Jamal Crawford of the Atlanta Hawks deserves to win the coveted NBA's KIA 6th Man of the Year Award. He is the runaway winner of that award averaging 18 points per game on 31.1 minutes per game as a substitute helping the Atlanta Hawks capture the 3rd seeded team in East.

He was an impact player already at the middle of the season for the Atlanta Hawks. You can see the countless highlights of him hitting game winners. Like what Mike Woodson said in the press conference it is not about who is starting the game but who finishes the game.

He has been really impressive late on in games, You often need someone from your bench to score when the game is tight.

well-deserved win if i may say so myself.
crawford averaged 18 points a game in 31.1 minutes. this is in a team with legit superstars in joe johnson and joe smith and up-coming superstars in al horford and marvin williams. also, another thign to point out is he is the second best scorer int he team without even being part of the starting line-up. i always thought that crawford has always been a good player but he played in so-so teams. prior to being with the hawks, he was with the bulls, the knicks, and the warriors. that is one below-50% team after another. lol!
anyway, crawford, didn't mind coming off the bench and in fact he embraced the role. what was important for crawford was winning games and team accomplishments and not individual accolades. really can't see that trait among nba players nowadays.
hawks are in a tight series against the bucks with the series tied at 2-2. i think hawks take this series in seven games. funny thing about the hawks is they have the worst road record in the playoffs among all the remaining teams. dating back from 2007, they have lost 17 of the last 18 away games in their post season. i think for the hawks to take it to the next level, they should learn how to win games on the road and for sure, jamal crawford will be an important part of that. look for jamal crawford to be part of the hawks' team on the floor in the closing stretches of the upcoming play-off games.

He was my pick to win the sixth man of the year award. I really think he's one of the most underrated players in the NBA. People thought he was just a guy who could score on a bad team in New York Knicks but Atlanta Hawks were already a very good team and they have improved with him.
