Being embarassed by our parents.

The vast majority of us care a great deal about our parents, but there are times where they can embarrass us like no one else. Especially when we were children and around our friends. Not to mention, they always tend to pick the worst possible times to act that. I think when my father started singing around myself and some friends was the most vivid memory. Bless the man, but he could not carry a tune. I wanted to crawl in some kind of hole. So have your parents ever done things in front of your friends when you were a child that made you want to say, "I have never met this person in my life." Looking forward to hearing your responses.

True, there are many things that we do not understand when we are children. Than we get it when we age. It might take several years, but in the end, we really appreciate the lessons that we learn as children. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated. Have a nice day!

it sounds as if your parents is disappointing to you. a father started singing when his kids are children.this is why he loves his kids.he shows this way to love kids, why?just in order to make the kids stop crying and continue laughing.all the fathers are growing older and older.i hope we can sing together with whatever tune.right? good luck with you, dear.

Well, I think it was amusing now. When I was a child, I thought it was rather horrifying. I guess our tastes really do change when we get older. What we might embarrass us when we were like ten, we might laugh at and wonder why. If it truly embarrassed me now, I would not have really shared it on an Internet forum. Thank you for your response, it was much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day!

My parents always embarrasses me. Like when I was kid, my mother scolds me in front of my friends and classmates! But now, she doesn't do that anymore. Of course, I've grown older now. But my father, he treats me like a baby! And my friends always laugh about that. He calls me "baby", "my sweet little angel", "my little darling". LOL. I am so embarrassed whenever he calls me that. And when I was in high school, I was with my friends and there were boys including my crush, he suddenly came and called me "my baby!". LOL!

Nope, Even if my father do sing in front of my friends, he is still my father, and you should not be ashamed of your father, and if your friends did not appreciate at least what your father has done, then they may not accept you either, ior accept only the good in you and not the bad.

Yeah, I think many of us go through that phase. I think we cringe and hope that our parents are able to get away quickly and not linger. It does seem a bit absurd these days but most certainly a phase that many teenagers can sympathize with. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and contributed to the topic. Have a nice day and thanks!
