the only help is to put it in an external fan, the problem is that some of those devices should bring one and the internal clock inside overheat a bit... maybe you might have to replace with time because that extreme heat will decrease the life time of the modem

Hi, I also got the same problem while using the USB Modem ,if the modem is hot just disconnect ur modem and leave it in a table for 10 or 15 minutes or till it becomes normal and then connect it and use it.If you are using the laptop dont use USB port near your computer fan instead use the USB port that is far from your fan ,so that there is a chance of not getting hot bcoz of hot air coming out of the computer fan.It worked for me and i am sure it will work for u also.but its a generall that all the USB Modems become hot after using for many hours and its not a big problem. As u are a new user , dont get afraid and panic.Just do the above things.Stay cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@webee Hi webee, you are right... I place my modem near the fan... so it make my modem so hot... now I change the place... and not so hot anymore, but I think still quite hot inside... I'm afraid it reduce my modem lifetime, luckily I found unused hardisk fan for this... Keep cool....friend
