"Tough times never last but tough people do" A very inspiring quote for these hard times that we are going through. I have been trying to make this my daily mantra. As a huge Dean Koontz fan-I'd like to add my favorite quote from him: It's only life, we all get through it

The toughest times in our lives will come and go. Some will be remembered. others are easily forgotten. Tough People will not disappear into the night. They will linger on, continuing to struggle,. to fight and to win.

Yes! I do so believe this. Good job for taking up a mantra like this. This will keep you going. Like what most people say, "Don't problem the problem, let the problem - problem you." Keep it up! There are a lot of punches life might throw at us, we can either duck, counter attack or catch the blow -- besides, each blow only make us stronger. It makes us more resistant to pain and suffering. The more blows we take, the stronger we become.

So true..for a while I felt hopeless and now I'm picking up speed and determination. I've been through too much in my few years and if it's taught me anything-it's to keep on fighting...never give up..keep kicking-don't let yourself drown

I believe these sayings very much! This reminds me of another saying I once heard. I used to take the Leanin' Tree Catalogs. I don't know if you know what Leanin' Tree is but they sell greeting cards out in Colorado. They mainly have cards about the western way of life. I saw a card in one of their catalogs one time that had a picture of Draft Horses pulling a heavy load. Underneath the picture, it said "When the going gets tough, the tough get going". Kathy.

They might be. Some of them are very funny, too, lol
! I always liked their cards because I like horses so much. I was raised on a farm, too. I quit ordering their cards because they got too expensive. Not only do they carry cards about horses, Indians, cowboys, etc. In the last few years, they started carrying cards with trains, the ocean, and life under the ocean, too. Kathy.

I really like your first quote, and is true, if we stand tall and strong we can make it, must be tough and creative. I agree with that be tough and hold on to the love for our own, to keep it together.

Avril Lavigne "Keep holding on"-I listen to that song when I need inspiration. I just met this woman that lived in a cardboard box for a year...11 years later-she's a homeowner. That told me that if she can make it-I sure as heck can too!

Yes I believe this quote, tough times never ends but when tough time strike tough people would surely end being tough.
No matter what problems you have to face today, there is a solution, because you have nothing to deal with but your own thoughts. As long as you think that your destiny is in the hands of other people, the situation is hopeless. You will need to confront your problems with courage, boldness and action.
I can say tough people during tough times they were fold, they can't stand most tough moments and cannot persevere long enough.
So its really an inspiring quote during hard times.Nice topic

Ever heard the saying "take the bull by the horns"? That's the way I've been feeling lately-for a while I was down and out about money but I'm sick of it and have decided to become a die hard problem solver. I think life hands you hard times to build you up-to make you stronger and make you think outside the box just a little. That's the point I'm at right now-a crossroads-so to speak...I can go several ways, but I'm not going back

yes, i do believe this!!!! tough times are just passing time...it will go soon..but people who experienced tough moments in their lives learn to become tougher...more matured, more responsible and a survivor..."when the going gets tough...never quit!!!! at the end..."the winner takes it all..."

rachelle...i think i am strong just like u to live through live.
There has defiitely been times that i felt weak and even thought that my life should be ended. But then i didnt. I thought differently that if i die then all that hard work which i did till then would go waste. So whats the harm in living a few days more.
And thats how i have lived on so far.
Afterall its true that its only life and we all get through.

I've been down like that too..I'm a survivor..when you asked if we had any big secrects? I certainly have...I've made it through some of the toughest bad things that most people never face...and I've always landed back on my feet somehow..So..when I feel like I can't go on-something boils inside me and there I am-fighting to the finish
