All that glitters is not gold The phrase simply means that just because something may look valuable, desirable or attractive, it does NOT mean that it definitely will be worth having once you discover its true nature. So basically, don't rely on the superficial

I agree, there are proverbs that are true and its worth believing those but many of proverbs are not so eye-catching. My favourtie proverb is "A broken hand works, but not a broken heart" - Thanks for asking! :)
