NDE a.k.a. Near-Death-Experience mostly happened during emergency cases, like a patient that undergoes a serious operation and sees itself during the operation even the patient was unconscious. OBE a.k.a. Out-of-the-Body-Experience is more likely the same as NDE's but totally different when it happens. This kind of experience usually occurs when we are asleep. Just like you are dreaming of something and suddenly watching yourself and everything in the house. Kinda scary may seem but it is true. I myself have just experienced OBE not just once but already several times. There was a time when I was asleep that I felt that I wanted to pee. As I stand up, I felt that there was something left behind me and I walked outside my room and saw the whole place that is too hazy as if it was full of fog. I checked by the window and the place was like it was going to rain and still hazy with no people or vehicles that pass by. It was full of silence. I told myself if what was happening? The place was like at the movie "Silent Hill". And when I returned back to my room, I saw my body lying down and is not breathing anymore. I started to panic and told myself to be back to my body and woke up grasping a lot of air and felt the heat of the sun and noise around me.

NDE is similar to OBE in that in both cases the soul leaves the body and experience a mystical experience that cannot be explained by natural reasoning.
