Stuttering During Game Play-GTA 4

Hey,friends
I am big gta fan.Now I am playing lost and damned in my pc .
and the game have stuttering problems
My PC hv 4GB DDR2
AMD 5000+ dual cor 2.6 ghz
9800 GT geforce graphics card
What shall i do?
I use medium setting ,tried low too?
I ask this because gta 4 had no problem with my pc specs..
Any help my lotters?
