Hi bodnath, I believe that we are all one if we could but understand that. I don't like the idea of organized religion as it divides people rather than unites them. No one really understands God and our beliefs are nothing but assumptions. Many of us have had experiences that we cannot understand but still we must admit that it is all a great mystery. I don't think we need even one religion but rather one way of life whose sole purpose is to make this world a better place for everyone. Blessings.

There is only one God who control the universe I have to say that thats most likely WHY you dont understand..because yu have it in your head that there IS only "one god" and thats just not true..there are MANY..as many as there are religions and then some and thats not even including Goddesses.....I also think that its a mistake to believe that ANY God (or Goddess) "controls" anything...for the most part deities IMO shouldn't be seen as actual beings..to each his own though

You start with an assumption that I doubt that you can support. It may be your assumption that there is only one god but many people would differ with you. There are those that support the concept of many gods and a growing number that feel that there is no god. When it comes to prayer everyone has their own concept of what god is which is a creation of their own mental outlook. They pray in the manner that they imagine that the god of their own creation requires.

You might believe there is one god but not everyone else does. I mean, look around, if this universe isn't being run by a commitee I'd sure like an explaination from "god" about the confusion!

Simple: your premise is mistaken.

Religions are the products of different interpretations of signs, God, etc. There is only one God, He just has different names. Nevertheless, He's still God no matter what religion you're in or no matter what name you call Him.

Since there are different religions in the world, people also named their God with different names but all names are pertaining to just ONE GOD. I think this is one way of differentiating one religion to the other. We have our own way of worshiping and belief but it just boil down to one thing, that there is only ONE GOD who rules the entire universe. It's like a car but with different names and styles.
