To exercise in the morning, or later in the day?

I used to exercise in the morning for 1 hour but now a days I am not getting time in the morning because of office hour changes and hence I do exercise in the evening for 30-45 minutes. During morning exercise I felt that it takes 10 minutes to start the real exercise and have to spend some time to warm up the body however in the evening you are already charged and do not need to spend 10-15 minutes on warm up. You can directly jump into the weight exercise. I have started evening exercise and enjoying that. How about you? Do you exercise in the morning or evening?

I like morning exercise. However, it's not practical due to my working hour is from 8am to 5pm. So, the best time that suits my schedule is at about 6pm. I am happy that my company is having a sport complex where we can enjoy the sport facility there namely badminton court, squash court, gym and etc. Every week I play badminton during Friday noon, because it's the only time slot where least people are using it and the courts are available. Besides, I jog for approximately 3.4 km every Tuesday and Thursday.

Totally agree. Jogging is very good for training our stamina. I really need a good stamina for my badminton game. Usually I will run out of breath and energy very soon after the game start. So, I plan to further improve my stamina through consistent jogging. I wish to increase to 5km by few months down the road. My longer term goal is to run 10km may be next year.. Therefore the 6pm time slot in the afternoon is very important to me. You are most welcome and thanks for your encouragement

Our schedule is similar. I come back from office around 5:30 pm and go to gym. Jogging is always good, keep exercising :) Thanks for the response

Well, they say the freaks come out at night! I love to exercise in the evening. It actually recharges my batteries so I don't have to fall in the bed at 9pm like I'm 99 years old. I'm headed to the gym now, for about 2 hours (I do not lie) and it is 9pm EST. I'm thankful for 24 hour gyms. On the other hand, we have had great weather so it makes me want to go out and exercise while it is nice out. Great spring days for biking and running --- If you can stand the pollen. Good luck with your exercise routine.

I do exercises in the morning as well as in the afternoon. At present I am a student. No busy schedules and no tenses in life. I go to gym in the morning and play cricket in the evenings. In a day I play for more than 2 hours.I am afraid about my future because I may not able be to find time to play or to do exercises. So the best option do it when you can.

I do my weight exercise in the evening. If your a person who looks forward to your exercise do it at night and if you are the person who don't look forward in doing it do it at the morning.

I go to school in the the mornings and so when I get out..I do my exercising with my sister. I found it a bit of a struggle trying to do it in the morning. So i agree 100% about doing it in the evening..even thoughI have slacked up a little bit. But I'm still healthy & in shape!

Mostly I exercise in the morning, because it's easier. My gym offers free child watch twice a day, in the morning from 8:30 to 11:30 and in the afternoon starting at 4:30. Because I have 3 kids in school and 2 at home I find it's easier to bring the little 2 in the morning, because at night we have dinner and baths and other things going on. Although I will occasionally go in for an evening work out, or sometimes do another work out at home. Last night I went in for an evening work out, and although I was tired and sore, it seemed easier to push myself a little harder! But if I didn't go in the mornings my day would drag on too long and I'd get bored. I already spend most of my day feeling rather bored!

Good to hear that Gym takes care of your child when you are doing workout. May be Gym is boosting you in two ways. In first place taking care of your child is too good thing and because of that you can do workout in the morning. WISH you healthy and happy life:) Thanks for the response.

hii AjaySinghBaghel Well it totally depends upon my moomd and climate outside.I dont like to jog in heavy rain so when its rainy season i adjust my exercise timing accordingly. In winter its pleasant outside in early morning and thus i go out in early morning.Same in summer season. Sometime if i miss my exercise in morning then i go for a long walk in the evening.

I think you can follow in the evening also. Preferably morning time is suggested as the long hours of sleep, body functions will stimulate after morning exercise and will feel good in the rest of the day. But after day long work again going for exercise would keep more tied and weak. Doesn't matter, once you are habituated, it will not be a problem. Still, if can manage about 15-20 minutes of early wake up will help, turn back to morning exercise only. Warm regards, Thank-s

Yes, morning exercise makes you active for the rest of the day but there should not be heavy weight workout so that you do not feel tired. true, its all about habit. Thanks for the response.
