I'm interested to know about people earning money online from photography. Is anybody here earning money from selling or publishing photos online? What camera do you have?

Most of the ways I've seen for earning money online from photography involves stock photos. I've looked into it, but the stock photo sites are usually very fussy and its hard to get photos that qualify, at least on sites like shutterstock. I guess they are overstocked with scenery photos, which are the ones I like to take, and they are looking mostly for unusual photos. The quality has to be superb, especially when the photos are zoomed in. The ysay you can use any camera, even point and shoot, but I think most of the ones that get accepted are taken with DSLRs.The good thing about Shutterstock is that they have a good forum with lots of discussions about how to get your photos accepted.

Is that your horse? I have a classmate in high school who got hooked with horses when he took riding lessons. Now, he has several horses and actively participates in events. I often see him on a local newspaper riding around obstacles. Anyway, I'm a member myself of several online photo sites. And I agree with you that most of the photos accepted there may have been taken by DSLR cameras. But still, there must be one brave soul who joined one of these sites armed only with an ordinary digital camera. What, if any, digital camera do you have? Have you posted your photos on the internet?
