Hi When in school / college we all came under undue stress and tension/anxiety especially during exam time; that time knowingly or unknowingly did you eat a lot more than normal or not eat at all; for me I ate normally , because I could not study at home ( it gave me a lot of distractions - like a bed to sleep on and pets to play with etc!!)so i used to sit in the college library daily and come home only for dinner when the library closed ( I carried my lunch and at times in the college canteen/cafeteria)so my indulgences were controlled. What about you? And besides that no matter what whether pre -exam times or during the exams I always exercised - always went for a good refreshing swim at the swimming pool (for at least 30 minutes) which was just 5 minutes walk from my home every day - I think my friends made fun of me that time but that was the best stress buster I came across. I did that even for my final college/university graduation exams Did you also do something crazy like that ???

Most of the time, I tend to eat less and drink more caffeine, and I can't sleep normally. I hate to eat a lot when I'm trying to think because it makes me feel sleepy when I'm full. When I'm stumped on a problem, that's when I start to eat a lot. When that happens, I try to do something else, like clean the house or polish furniture just so I don't have the urge to binge on food. I don't exercise, I guess the cleaning the house IS my exercise! Haha!

Nice way to keep your mind off the food and a sort of exercise too - after all cleaning or polishing involves lots of body movements too!!

hi udayrao2 I took swimming as a phys ed class in college and was allowed to use the pool even afterwards. I often swam to relieve stress from exam time and this is the odd part. i was going to the University of South Dakota at Vermillion s.D. this was in the winter time and spring. I would swim then go to lunch across the campus. And come into the cafeteria with damp frozen tresses from some hair not getting under my swim cape. But I still enjoyed my swims and I think they helped me to get such good grades too. lol lol lol.

Yes I can vouch for that swimming - which I did around the year though we do not have very harsh winters here in Mumbai (Bombay) - exercises not only your body but also the mind - and I think this also helped me do well in the exams. And I continued that practice even while studying abroad in Europe in the winters!!!

Frankly i cannot remember my getting tensed at any exam that i have given or eating or not eating much. My nature has that of being calm at all times and not over-reacting to any situation. This has helped me never to get stressed and take things as they come.

I used to have a lot of stresses back when I was still a student. Stress for me is no longer strange even now that I am already earning money. When I was in elementary and in high school, I already got stresses due to tough competition among my classmates. I was an honor student before and my father was one of the teachers in our school that's why I got so pressured in studying very hard so that my father won't get disappointed about me. I wanted him to be proud of me. When I was in college, I became an academic scholar. There were grades I needed to maintain. It was a little difficult for me but I still gave my best. The things that helped me cope up with those stresses are foods. I love eating especially when I am stressed out about something. It's my own way to get rid of stress and forget all of my problems.

I always tend to eat a lot during exams.Whenever I am stressed out and panic about not having completed the syllabus, i go and have a nibble. This really makes my life eased out.

In most cases, even when the syllabus is ( and also the study revision ) is completed the student still has anxiety - that is but natural for anyone who cares about his/her education & future

I love eating a lot. I don't know why but whenever I feel stressed or depressed, I eat more than I used to.

i either eat a lot or not eat at all.^_^ i get hungry every 2 hours when doing something so i have to eat that often but sometimes when i am so into it, i forget about eating in which case i would make up afterwards.^_^ the food don't necessarily have to be heavy meal. it can be anything sweet or anything that will satisfy my hunger. i don't really have a weird habit when stressed or under pressure or maybe i just don't realized i do. eating isn't really a weird habit when stressed because it's a good source of energy so it's pretty normal that you would crave for something to eat. sugar is the best source of energy for the brain so it's also normal you'd want to eat sweets while studying.

Whenever tough situation or stress comes to me,i eat a lot but i concentrate more on healthy food rather than going for burgers or any oily stuff. For example i try to have a glass of juice or milk shake which my mom makes for me and i spend more time with my family, watch t.v or go out for a dinner. That's how i deal with stress.

Way back when I was still schooling, I also tend to eat a lot whenever I have exams. I even eat heavy meals while I am studying to keep my system alive as well as my comprehension. I just sit and read at the same time eat. I prefer to eat spicy foods because it wakes me up. I also tend to eat sour candies and it also helps. I don't do exercise. Mainly because I am too lazy for it. Lol! Have a good day!

when I was in college, I used to be so busy because of so many paper works, exams, tests, reports and projects. I was so busy that I tried sleeping for only 5 minutes. When so stressed I usually love to eat, to cope with the stress. SO I eat a lot when studying for an exam but whenever i am so busy and running after a deadline, I cant eat because I have no time. But most of the time, I eat because of stress, that was why I gained to many weight when I was in college.

well, there. In my opinion,it is not worth our while to do that,i mean, eating unregularly during exam seasons.Health should always come first. What will we do if we don't have a healthy body? The more tension or stress we are under, the more healthy we should eat.We are healthy so we can handle problems.Don't you think so?
