We all do know that when we sneeze for a second, our life's breathe ceases too for a second.
So mylotters do you still say to your family, relatives, friends, or a stranger besides you the word "God bless you" whenever they sneeze? What do you say in your language/dialect when someone sneezes at you?
Happy mylotting.

hi sheanne,
yes we do...we grow up with this belief...in scientific explanation,God bless because when you sneeze, our heart stops for millisecond & might not pump again thus before you die,you have been blessed already...but in Northern America in earlier times,an outbreak of influenza virus makes the people say God bless you to anyone who sneezes because they might have the virus that might lead them to die

Its strange that you have started this discussion, as I have just been discussing this with my parents, I always say bless you if someone sneezes, but they forget to say it to me, I always heard the old folks tale that when you sneezed you are giving the devil chance to get to you so thats why everyone says bless you. Dont know where that came from but if someone forgets to say it to me then I always ask them if they want the devil to get me!
