Can a hug a day keep doctors away?

Have you tried holding a placard with "free hug" written on it? I never tried it although they said that it has health benefits. I wonder what could it be. What can you say?

I am not so sure that by receiving a hug every single day will indeed keep the doctor away, for good. I do believe that a hug a day is a feel good thing which is positive which in turn leaves us open for good things. The law of cause and effect. No moping around when we are giving out hugs, right? It is positive, fun and free. I have never wore a place card saying free hugs but I have seen people do that. It is infectious and a great way to lighten up someones otherwise down day! It is like medicine. Anything positive is, that is if a person is open to the idea. Some maybe so down and depressed and so used of being that way that they may choose to not even take notice. Some like to feel depressed as appose to happy and free from the weight of negative thoughts. I love the idea of a free hug. Hats off to you for this discussion.

Although Having a placard like that wasn't usual in our country I wanted to try it because I wanted to help people be free from stress at the same time hugs was really nice for us based from what I've seen on TV. Even the saddest and worst person I deserves to be hugged. I've tried giving a hug to a person whom I refer to be really stubborn and to my surprise in the end of the program with tears in his eyes he thanked us all because it's the only time that he realize that they're still people who really do loved him. I agree to all your comments and appreciates you for thinking it that way too. Thanks a lot for it. Here's a hug for you!:)

Wow you actually wore the placecard? This is fantastic. What an inspiration. I admire you for that! Hugs are good for us. Passing the positive vibration along can not hurt. We are all worthy of a good hug from time to time, you are right there, regardless of whether the person is happy of sad. Perhaps sad people are more deserving? This is a great comment, thank you for this! Oh and for the Hug too. The BR is Nice also ;) Hugs to you as well eil! I loved your discussion.

hi eil, I think a hug can relieve a person from being alone. A Hug in action shows love, comfort and affection. But, in any general standard when a person is seriously ill, cannot be treated only by hug in keeping a doctor away. An illness of a person require medical treatment and an additional emotional support can be given by hug actions. Emotional affection is different from medical attention. Emotional attention can give a person the moral support to ease whatever pain is going through. Happy mylotting..
