A Banshee! An impending Death?

From the gaelic "Bean Sidhe" (possessive fairy), the banshee usually is an apparition of a hag, ghost or fairy woman who wails or laments an impending death in the famuly..

You know, just prior to my sister passing away, I had a very odd and somewhat frightening dream in which some "creature" appeared. I sensed this creature was connected to my sister somehow, and it was very disturbing. It wasn't male or female; it just was -- if that makes sense. So, if the proper term for the creature is banshee, then I guess I have dreamt of one.
