I'm surprised there's no one here discuss about this movie. It's a new movie directed by Oscar winner Roman Polanski, who just recently being extradited from Switzerland after molesting and rape an underage child 30 years ago. I watched the movie because the critics praised this movie a lot and boy..they was right. the story is about a ghost writer that must finish his preceedesor task of making a biography of the former UK prime minister Adam Lang in an isolated island. The previous writer die mysteriously on the beach. The cast was superb, each character fits perfectly to the actors, but the one that steals the scene was the one that played Adam Lang's wife, Olivia Williams. The story told in Hitchcokian way, building up its tension without being rushed and create a dark and creepy atmosphere with a twist in the ending. I think this is the first real contender of the Oscar this year, it's definitely worth to watch

I've actually not heard of this movie until you mentioned it. However, with the wonderful synopsis that you've written here, I have to say that it sounds intriguing. This is definitely a movie that I am going to have to look up and watch though it will have to be after the DVD is available because I really can't think of anyone that would be willing to go with me to see it in the theater. Sounds like a great movie in many different aspects.
