Some of the "Dead Like Me" episodes have been written by, or had as story consultant, J. J. Philbin. That's right she is one of the daughters of famous talk show host Regis Philbin. The first season of the show has been running on an independent station in my area and she has consulted on at least one show and was the only writer of the episode of the show when Rebecca Gayheart made her exit from the show.

I didn't do much research after I saw she had written the one where Gayheart's character left. However, the little that I did do showed she was the only writer on at least two first season episodes and the story consultant on another. They had a lot of different writers for the first season that I did look at.
