Just when I thought Ryder was a total wimp

He jumped Daisy and let Lauren and Jana get away. But he was a wimp when he couldn't even break the padlock off. Even Jana in a very weakened state was able to break a padlock when she made her failed escape.

Ryder can not think for himself and probably could not figure out how to break the padlock off. I could not believe Daisy let Ryder get behind her because she knew Ryder could not be trusted but it was the only way for Jana and Lauren to get away.

Ryder wanted to be Kevin's brother and friend but had allowed things to go to far with the whole scheme to get rid of Lauren and Jena. He was doing what he was told as he always has, but he did not want to do it. Remember that Tom was his dad so I am sure that he had never had a real childhood the same as Kevin. I hope that some day he will reunite with Kevin and Jena and apologize for all the harm that he has caused.

He didn't seem all that determined to break the padlock to me. I felt like he kept vacillating about what to do right up to the end; part of him wanted to do the right thing, part of him wanted to just keep following orders. I thought the guy playing Ryder did quite a nice job today.

he was probably using a pumice rock to break it...
