If parents can control the children hobbies such as play game online, I think no problem for the children. The problem If the parents can't control the children hobbies. The children maybe waste time only with play game online everyday and forget about study for their school educations. If like this parents must be stop the children play game online and make focus on their learning to their future.

small children are still elementary school or middle school who play online games, such as the age-age children usually mimic or imitate the things he saw. The negative side of gaming online is one thing we have noticed. When the children of this age mimic the negative interaction of the game such as hitting or kicking a friend, certainly not a good thing. Therefore, we need a good education and supervision so that children do not imitate those negative things. This also should be considered by the provider of online gaming in order to help the less educated like this should not be inserted into the game itself.

I think there are two sides for this predicament. Nowadays, there are far too many distractions for kids and children to not really form a bad habit. For one, there are a lot of shows on televisions (most especially if the family has cable), computers, video games, even cellphones have addicting features as well - all because of marketing. Now, I don't think it's good to put your child out of sync with the present technologies that surround him/her because he/she will bound to get to know it through other people. Further, children not exposed to these things will have the tendency to not perform better in school emotionally because he/she will feel that she/he is way behind other kids. I think the best way here is for the parents to really take control of what the kid does online or how long he/she is using these media sources. My nephew is computer literate. At age 2 he knows how to turn-on, shut down, open programs (like paint among others), open the world wide web and search (literally type) car games. He just love those but we always make sure that he has got his limits. Like we show him the clock and tell him that when the short hand is here and the long hand there it means that computer time is over. Yes there will be struggles along the way, but at least we're trying to train him of being responsible at the same time not limiting him of the knowledge he could get through the internet. I think parents should take charge really.
