Do you know some methods to improve your listening?

Hi my friends , do you have a good listening to people's words?Do you know some good methods to improve people's listening?
As far as I am concerned, I think I usually can not catch up with what people are saying to me. No matter how carefully I am listeing to people's saying, I still miss some important words?
What about you? Do you have this experience? Do you know some goood methods to improve people's listening? Thank you so much in advance.

Hi friend,
To improve your understanding in some people words you have to improve our vocabulary, we cannot catch up some words sometimes because we are lack of words ourselves.Read more books and vocabulary will improve if words not really vivid or new to your ear try to find the meaning in dictionary or wikipedia to know exactly the meaning of the words.

Thank you so much about your replying here. I think I have where is my weakness,which I think I have do a lot to improve to help me to improve my listening in case that I can catch up with what people are saying to me. Thank you so much.

Actually I have the same problem, i think the reason for me is that I have not learn english for too long.there are many words i don't know or not familiar with.
remerber more words and listen to others more is may, I hope that will help you

yea i sometimes have that same problem.. sometimes i space out and am in my own world and cant hear when people speak to me. im usually only not able to hear wut people say when that happens or when i am not awake enough to hear

Yout mind should be clear in order to catch all the words of the person who sits opposite you.You probably miss a lot of things just because you think about a lot of things simultaniously.It is difficult for sure to think of some things at the same time.
