So many books, so little time to read them.

I have these stack of books on my shelf, that I intend to get to one of these days. I really do but the problem is, the only time that I seem to be able to read without being disturbed is at night. By that time, I am maybe able to read about a half of an hour or an hour a night, which is not that much time as I would like. So it takes me a while to get through a book. So, are you like this? Do you find that you have a lot of books that you would read but finding the time to read them is the problem? Looking forward to reading your responses.

I am just like you.. I have 2 little girls who are not yet in school so getting time to read by myself is a big fat never.. I always start a book and don't wind up finishing it until 3 months later...

Yes, well the important things come first. I am sure when they are in school, you might have a bit more time to read. Until then, who knows how often you'll see the inside of a book. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I find time wherever I can. It means learning to read in a crowded and noisy room sometimes. I take whatever book I'm working on with me wherever I go. I read on the train ride to school, I read in breaks during class, and I read at night before bed. I usually managed to read at least 70 pages in a day, most times more.

Yes, there are times when you have to take what you can get. These days, I tend to be very picky where I read a lot of the time. I have no idea why or when it started, it is just the way it is. I am only able to concentrate in the comfort of my own house, most likely with the door shut about nine times out of ten. Still thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I enjoy reading, but I also have too many books.I start reading each one and I never finish one whole book.I don't know why I do that.I'll start a book then,I'll think another book is more interesting, then start that one.I need to stick to one book until I read the whole thing before starting another.

Yes, that can be a bit of a problem. Thankfully, I think as of late I am able to stick with one book. However, there was a time where I made a mistake of reading the back cover of another book that I had not started and thus felt the desire to read that book instead of the one that I was reading. I try and not look at any other books until the one I am completed is done. Whenever that may be. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I do have a stack of books at home, waiting for me to finally open them. I recently had this habit of buying books in bargain stores, but not actually read them. I do like to read books, but nowadays I find it hard to read them and finish what I've started because when I get home from work I'm usually too tired so I go to sleep immediately. In my rest day, I have time at home, but I spend most of it wiht my boyfriend, watching movies with him.

well despite the fact tha i am no a bookworm, i still read books... i can read them anywhere everywhere... but most of all i could read them at night.. . i am not reading it all at once... half an hour or an hour per day is still okay... as long as you keep in mind what you have read..
mind you, if you find the book so interesting you could not manage to know how long you've been reading bacause you will be drawn until the last page of the book...

True, if a book is very good, I might be pushing myself to read just one more chapter. Then one more chapter and then...well you kind of get the picture. There are times where I glance over at the clock and wonder where the time could have gone. That is really the mark of a really good book. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Glad you can do that. I guess that works better for some people. Although the times where I do manage to get into a book that's good, it might take a lot. War could be going on around my house and it might be shut out. Well maybe nothing that extreme, but you get the picture. Thank you for your response, it is much appreciated and contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.
