what can we do for the old people?

nowadays,there are more and more old people.the world has enterd the era of aging.according to the problems caused by the population of aging increasing.such us medical problems,the issue of pention especially old-insurance proplems in rural areas.many old-age people have no money to have medical care or have enough rest.in this event,what can we do and what should we do?do you have any advices?

hi meimeibabobei well as an old person, I prefer senior citizen as old from the younger peoples attitudes means scrawny wrinkled,pathetic decrepit people senile and drooling wrong we are not most of us at all like that.at Least not in my country. I have a good gap hmo insurance and I am doing just fine.As for rest why is it that all younger people think we need rest more than 8hours a night, thats so wrong,we need to be needed we need to have some meaningful employment part time, our brains do not atrophy with age, our bodies may have a few problems but if our minds are clear and focussed we can outdo most fifty year olds in most professions.This what can we do depends really on what country you are in here in the US we older people as a whole have more insurance coverage than our younger people. take care of the people who cannot yet get medicare and medical as they are too young but older than the young people and they cannot afford the outragous price on health insurance.

in my country,especially in rural erear,old people are suported by their children who have grow up.if the children don't care about their parents'life or show no interesting on them,and then the life of the olds would be very poor and sad.in the past,the goverment didn't do with them.fortunitely,the goverment realized this and took several measures to control this.i hope the olds could live a life as you.

Being an older person myself a phone call, an e-mail , a visit can make me feel so much better just knowing someone thought of me. As for someone needing help there are programs that will help senoiors w/their medical bills etc. I have never had to use any of them but know alot of people do. Older people are too proud to ask for help but these young, lazy people sure aren't.

I always start in my very own surrounding to help people so I have started a small group here where there are only old people, they do not have to pay any fees, it is a social work that I love doing, so they come in the garden here and talk the whole day if they want too then three times per year, I bring them for excursions or to the beach to relax a bit.

meimei..i think we can help by being volunteers at old folks home every weekends..i'm talking as a student..because we don't have a fixed income to help them financially but we do have lot of energy..but i do think that celebrities and the millionare must gave some of their money to supprt the medication and life of the old folks..eventually we would be old someday and karma will happen.if u help others..others will help u someday..treat them nicely and do respect them..
