It seems that Rep David Obey has decided to step down from Congress. He was facing a tough reelection with two strong Conservatives running in the Republican Primary with one to face him in November he decided not to seek reelection. Each challenger was able to raise more money for the primary fight than his challenger spent for the last general election. People seem to be upset with the way Rep Obey has voted and his position on various issues.

I have noticed that a lot of liberals are running for the hills this year... or in the case of some, they are leaving their party to run as an independent or change parties if the other party will have them.
Apparently the heat is on for these liberals, and they know that they have little or no chance to win in light of the large anti-incumbent and anti-liberal attitude of the majority of the people.
That healthcare reform bill was just the latest in a long list of things that the voters do not like, and now they are talking about trying to run amnesty for illegals and that finance reform mess, not to mention the cap and tax climate garbage.
The tax and spend crowd just doesn't seem to get the message, and 0bama is now saying for the liberals to stop referring to his socialist policies as being socialist.
The list is long, and the people are fed up with big government ideas.
