Me personally I think he should retire as hes already won 4 NBA Championships and maybe a possible 5th in this years playoffs. I rather remember him more as a dominant center than staying around while being out of his prime. However, If Shaq is totally focused on being a defensive player only than I would say he could still have some years left in him. Thats all Shaq mainly is now anyway.

Shaq will remain playing until in his early 40's. He has still the legs and strength to become a decent player in the post. However, it all depends on his physical being. If O'Neal could play about 80% or more of its games in the regular season, then that could be a determining factor that he can still play.

I think he should retire, he is not like before, not so strong anymore, getting injured always and not always in form. So i guess he has to step out of the scene gloriously rather than shamefully because he's getting slower everyday.

If Shaq can still rebound and play defense why not? His scoring would be a bonus. He would definitely be a shoo-in in the Hall of Fame. He should be at least hungry this year to win one for Lebron at least if he ever retires he would definitely leave the game with his head up high, winning a championship in his late 30's.

if shaq could suddenly become a 75% free throw shooter than yeah he definitely should stay around. remember his classic battles against the kings in the playoffs when he was a laker. how did he suddenly end up doing good at free throws at that time? is he faking his sucky free throw ability because the games are fixed and he would be too good for the other team if he shoot good from the free throw line. i don't think so as that would be going too far to assume that. oh yeah shaq makes free throws when they count remember and the kings happened to be so good at that time that he had to quit faking his sucky free throw ability just to win the series for the lakers.

I think he should. Age is catching up to him and I think he has no game left in him and if he has it is mediocre.
Anyway he is certain to be first ballot Hall of Famer and a very successful NBA player.
