Starbucks or Tim Horton's?

My husband and I want to get some new (ground) coffee and don't know what kind to buy. We used to get generic brands, which were average, but now that we're drinking more coffee, we want to invest in something good! The two brands we were thinking are Starbucks and Tim Horton's. Have you had either of these kinds? What do you think of them? My real question is, what kind should we get? I want to consider price, taste, etc. With all these factors considered, which kind would you buy? I know both are a little more expensive than your average case of ground coffee, but it sure beats the generic kinds! I've had Starbucks coffee made fresh directly from the coffee shop, but not the regular ground coffee you can make yourself. I'm not sure exactly what it tastes like. I've had Tim Horton's homemade coffee, but not the kind from the coffee shop. I think Tim Horton's coffee is very unique because it doesn't have too strong of an aftertaste like coffee normally does, but Starbucks brand seems to have an excellent taste as well. Please help us with our dilemma! If you have another brand of coffee you would suggest instead, please do share!

I would suggest going with Tim Horton's coffee. My husband just started drinking coffee and he prefers Mcdonald's coffee. I don't know why, I think it's because his father likes their coffee. He won't even try Tim Hortons coffee. Anyway that's just my opinion, I like Tim Horton's coffee

I like Tim Horton's as well. I just enjoy the fact that it doesn't really have an aftertaste, and that, in turn causes me not to have to get used to the taste each time I have it, so to speak. Does that make sense? (LOL) I feel like a lot of other kinds of coffee cause me to have to get used to them, not because they're too strong as I like my coffee nice and strong, but because of the flavor itself and sometimes the aftertaste. Tim Horton's is definitely my favorite. Of course, this past July 4 weekend, I was at my brother and sister-in-law's place, and they made Dunkin' Donuts hazelnut coffee. That was pretty good too! I'd never had that kind before. I've had McDonald's coffee once, but I don't remember too much about it. I think it was just kind of "blah," not horrible, but didn't "wow" me either. I'm not too picky when it comes to coffee (even though it may sound like it - LOL!), but I do like it strong! I think I'm going to celebrate this discussion by having a cup tonight! Thanks for your response.
