it's been a while since i've gone out dating. now, i'm not a dating guru. i just go out, have fun, know the girl, then leave everything to chance. my friend, however, was telling me about this applied psychology called NLP. say what? what's nlp?? it stands for neuro-linguistic programming. i promised him i'd read it and i did. i found some interesting applications that nlp can offer. it teaches phobia cures, crushing limiting beliefs, blah blah blah, the list is endless. frankly, i find most of them are nonsense but there's this technique i've always wanted to try out. it's called ANCHORING. you'll find out more about it from the link i've provided below. it mainly gives you a degree of control over the states of the person you're having a conversation with. i thought i would try it out and i did yesterday. i went out with a friend. i used the technique and it somehow worked. i wanted her to feel comfortable with me so i elicited a state that makes her feel comfortable and anchored it with a touch on her shoulder. when we were about to go home, i touched her shoulder again. and when we were in the cab, she just snuggled herself in my arms. she never did that since the first time i met her. i asked her why she was being all hugsy and snuggly and she just said she feels like it. my face was neutral at the time but i was smiling on the inside. i was thinking 'so this thing actually works, huh..' i haven't tried it further but if you want to learn more about the technique, you can read it here. ..and have fun using it. just remember, what goes around comes around so don't use this wrongly. here is the link. http://www.trans4mind.com/personal_development/mindMastery/anchoring.htm
