The latest icon here in the Philippines, jejemon? Haha! I don't know where it came from or when this word came out. But, I think it's totally nonsense, funny thing. How about you guys? What can you say about jejemon?

Very funny..its like the greek mythological gods except that they're mortals. I can't find a more descriptive term for those people except this. If it lessen the number of those who text in weird looking letters it is worth it. I have one textmate years ago she call me kuya and though her messages are jejemonic she's sweet when she text me that way. I have no news of her and I wonder now if she still texts that way.

LOL. Just the sound of it makes it more intriguing in a way. It's really funny. I logged in twice a day in Twitter and there are a lot who hates JEJEMONs. There is a group called JEJEBUSTERS - the anti JEJEMONS. But I don't mind them (both parties). As long as I distance myself, keeping my cool if I encounter one or try avoiding the so called JEJEMONS. Also, from what i learned. JEJEMONS are those people, in general though - the young ones are being blamed but not all - ahaha, who "tYps LyK dS" or would make such greetings like, "eLow Phoe" (translates as "hello po"). What the duck, right? Ahahaha! Before the term JEJEMON was born, there are a lot of people already who do things like mentioned above and in other entires in this thread. If you notice, if you have Facebook or Friendster account or any other networking sites, few people now are typing their words in a shortcut manner. Afraid that they might be called a JEJEMON. Afraid that they will be branded "cheap" or "jologs". That's the trend now. What can you say, it's only in the Philippines. Even Justin Bieber is intrigued. Asking what is a JEJEMON. Ahaha. Good discussion. Cheers! =)

i don't know where the word, jejemon, came from either. i didn't even know what it was up until a few weeks ago. i had to ask my teenaged brother because i kept hearing about it! so he explained it to me, and i though, so that's what it was! i think it's a total non-sense too and sometimes it gets annoying as well. lately i've been receiving jejemon-styled texts from unknown numbers, especially on my sun sim card and it's really irritating at times, and they also send and re-send it!

jejemon is called that way because jejemons use "jejeje" instead of "hehehe" in laughing. i actually am against jejemon. i think it's a corruption of language. it's one of the influences why students are poor in language. i also use text shortcuts to save time but not the jejemon style.

I think they originated because of the way someone writes 'hehehe' into 'jejeje'. I'm irritated to this texts. Some will really write a simple word into super complicated word which make it hard to read. I don't know why some people think its cool but for me its just plain irritating.

Jejemons are somehow new trends brought up by some of the young people here in the Philippines, and according to my observations, these "jejemons" will bring our country into an embarrassment when we speak about developing the children and the youth. Simply because they, the jejemons, will bring smart to become dumb, and the the dumb to become dumber...and our country will become the dumbest. PATHETIC YOUNG PEOPLE! THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE THE "HOPE" OF OUR NATION!
