How many countries have you visited?

I have visited fifty different countries in the world so far on my travels. In the 1980s I went to France, Greece and the Netherlands. During the 1990s I visited Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Hungary, Tunisia, St Lucia, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, USA, Fiji, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Spain, Italy, Malta, Ireland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Poland, Kenya, Luxembourg, Israel, and Jordan. In the 2000s I went to Hong Kong, French Polynesia, Cook Islands, Samoa, Croatia, Montenegro, Slovenia, Turkey, Seychelles, Maldives, Belize, Nicaragua, Mexico, Romania, Bulgaria, Portugal, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and South Africa. My next country that I will visit will be Canada.

I love to travel! Unfortunately finances don't permit it as much as I'd like. I'm from the U.S. and as a result have been to both Canada and Mexico. I now live in Argentina and because I live here have been to Uruguay, Chile, Brazil and Paraguay. When I was a kid we lived in Germany. Because we lived there I was able to go to England, Holland, Italy, Spain and France. Places I'd still like to go.....India, China, Greece, New Zealand, Australia and so many more! Seeing the world is a great way to educate oneself about different cultures and ways of life. It's just a shame that it's so darn expensive!

I've been to 26 countries til now. All the ones in Northern Europe, about half of the rest of Europe, I've missed out on half of Eastern Europe yet and Portugal and the mini-countries (Andorra, Liechtenstein etc). I've also been to Japan, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand and the US. I don't think staying at Hong Kong airport really counts as having been to Hong Kong or China but I'd like to go there at some point. Possibly also the rest of the world, I've never been to Africa and I'd love to go there at some point.

So far I have visited China, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and South Africa I plan to visit Sweden next year for sure and maybe other European countries
