I am a married mother of 4 and my husband has plans for me and my kids for Mother's Day. I will spend time with my mother, but she thinks that I am supposed to be with her the whole day. What do I do? She acts like she does not understand that I am married now and have a life of my own. HELP!!!!

I understand how she feels...also how you feel....maybe a compromise is in order like tell her how many hours you can spend with her to balance out the time you spend with your own family...hope it all works out without hard feelings!

Tks jillhill but she is a very hard person to please. Nothing I do is good enough for her. I stop what I'm doing to do for her but its never a thank you or nothing just complaints.

you have to tell that you have came to celebrate mothers day for some hours. At that time you have to make very special day by giving some gift and take her for lunch, enjoy for sometime. Then go back to your home because your family is more important than other.Any way good luck and have a nice day ahead.MAY THE GOD BLESS YOU.
