I have eaten cheese all my life and never got sick from it before but here lately when I eat cheese it upsets my stomach and makes me feel sick, What is this? Has this happened to you whether it be cheese or anything else?

It is happening to me right now. I don't know what could be the reason but I really really and really like spicy foods. I even shower siomai with chili like a wrapper. It was normal back then but now, if I eat something spicy, I get stomach ache or uncontrollable waste release. I can understand if it was me coz it is chili but yours? It is a different story. How come dairy products can make your stomach ache without a reason, right?

Hi, jahernand. I am fine from eating cheese. Do you think that the cheese that you are eating is fresh or not?? Maybe the cheese was not processed correctly. I hope that you don't have food poisoning at all. Check with your doctor to see if you don't have this illness. I hope that you will feel better. Take care.

Hi there Ja! Well, I believe there are just some people who have low tolerant for dairy products such as cheese. Thankfully though, I am not one of them. Cheese only upset my stomach when I get a lot of it, like A LOT.

Many people are lactose intolerant, that is they have an allergy to milk and milk products. Allergy onset can occur later in life, so maybe that's why it has just begun for you. So, maybe you can also check out other types of cheese, e.g. goat's milk rather than cow's milk, etc. or maybe change some of the kinds or amounts of cheese you eat. I know it's dicey, because I love cheese, too.

hmm...i usually stay away from dairy products when my stomach feels funny. milk & dairy products do sometimes mess up the tummy even more when its already upset...

Yes, I too believe that you have probably developed lactose intolerance. I too have this and cannot eat dairy products. I really missed grilled cheese sandwiches so I tried cheese made with soy. This has worked out well for me. I also use soy milk now with tea and in cereal. Try soy products and see if you can enjoy these. I also like soy yogurt very much. These come in many flavors just like regular yogurt. Give them a try.
