call center politics

I just resigned from my job because I'm no longer happy with the management of the company. I don't know if this is happening in most call centers, but usually the bosses will defend each other and cover the butts of one another whenever there are conflicts with the agents. And the worst thing is that, even if the TL or manager is already doing something wrong, his/her superior would still tolerate it. This is one of the reasons why I left my job. One of the supervisors looked for ways to suspend the agents that he doesn't like personally. It's only a small company, and I think more than 5 people resigned last month because of him, not counting the people who also left the company last year with the same reason. He made out stories like falsification of documents, etc. He even printed out the altered documents that he made himself and presented it to HR. The saddest part is that, the people higher than him believed him and let him do it despite the complaints of the agents. If this is how the management works, then there's no reason to stay in the company. Especially if the company does not really offer a big salary. Do you know a company that also works like this? Have you experienced this kind of situation?

Me too had worked in a call center before. The term call center politics is very common especially for the resigned agents like you, If you ask them the reason for their resignation most would answer the same "call center politics". I really didn't know what it meant until I read this topic. Well for me, that's not a good reason to leave the company. There might be something with you, and not with them. Your an agent right? therefor your only obligation is make or receive calls and If you're doing your job well there wouldn't be any issues about you from the superiors. If your team leader has something with the manager or even with the owner, so what? You shouldn't mind these things because your job is to make or receive calls. I might be wrong, because there might be something else from your side that I didn't understand but I believe that I do have a good point. right?
