Actually the term "pitbull" is not a breed, it is a term used to describe a number of breeds http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pit_bull that were mostly used for fighting and baiting sports before the sport was banned

pit bulls will give the best of their ability in order to please their master.they are strong agile and swift.i don't know if they are the strongest but they remain on top of the list for strong dogs..

I'm not sure that pitbulls are the strongest breed... but i am sure that they are the most determined breed. If it's a "real" pitbull it will do anything for his master. I have an american staffordshire terrier (similar to a pitbull) and i love his temperament. He's the perfect dog :D

I'm not sure if pit bulls are the strongest dog breed because there are a LOT of other dog breeds out there. The reason they're used in dog fights so often is because their jaws lock, meaning that when they bite their opponent, they won't let go.

Yes. pit bull is the strongest dog. My pitbull loves to swim.
