Two of us, but we have different tastes

Actually he has als and I have been looking for recipes for him. Found that I could use canned beef stews, soups, and some of the frozen dinners for one and problem solved. Now it is my turn. I mean I can make a four serving of pasta, shepherd's pie, stew that I can take part and put into a small pie shell, that is if I have one of those small aluminum pie containers for single people, but I have the regular sized glass and aluminum pie pans that are eight or nine inch pie pans. What I want are recipes that I can divide in two, and not expensive either. I do not want one piece of pie, or one hamburger, etc. So I am looking for recipes or cookbooks that are for the budget minded one or two person household. I like variety and they have to be freezable. Any suggestions of cookbooks or sites that might help me?

Why not try allrecipes.com. You can change the amount of servings and it will calculate the amount of ingredients needed. I have used some of theirs and liked what i have made.

I have tried allrecipes when I had to change a lasagna recipe from eight to four people. I did not know it worked for just one or two. I will see if that works. Thanks.

I did find a recipe but although it does take about reducing the ingredients, the calculations do not go to reducing the size of the pan. I do have a small rectangular pan, but they also reduced the height as well as the length and width so i think when I go to Zellers, I will look for a small glass loaf pan. That should do it.

I will try that. I have signed up to receive recipes by email, but have so many and most of them are for at least four people. Some one cannot divide (for instance can you divide an egg? So I will have to keep looking.
