I hate jejemons because they alter the real spelling of the word that brings a lot of confusions to many people. For example dis, dat but the real spelling is this and that. They made in that way because most of them are lazy to type and saving space especially in text. But I hope there is a cure for a jejemons.

i dont like it. i despise it. but i also know that people should respect one's "trips" and all. but please, jejemons, just stick to your jejetexts or jejebets or whatever to your fellow jejemons. dont spread it or use them to us "normal" language users. i mean, they can still spell and talk and talk in a normal way right? what's unsure though is if it's right to distort the language or spelling.

Jejemon is not really that bad... but it wouldn't help you either specially with your english and spealling... Jejemon is just like a code which used to encrypt your sentence... ^_^ I'm not really a jejemon and i really don't know how to make a sentence with it... but i know some other codes, and i used it with my girl and some other knows how to use this code... HOPE that this would not be addicting... ^_^ Good Luck....

hehe, they have been so popular these last few days...but anyway, i don't have a problem with them as long as they are not doing any bad on me. that's their trip, that's what they want, that's what makes them happy so be it. hehe as for me, i am not a jejemon and i don't have plan of becoming one. haha i am already old for those things, but i do sent text messages in shortcut ways. but not difficult to understand. actually i find those jejemons funny! haha and i really have hard times understanding what they are writing but its somehow a challenge to understand what they are writing... jejeje LOL!

I think it's either they really do not know how to spell words properly or it could be that the want to get attention so they chose to type this way. It could also be both. They think they're so cool by doing this? I am definitely against these people and I do not like reading their messages. They should go back to back to elementary to learn how to spell.

Haha. How can people take the jejemon phenomenon seriously. It originated with sending SMS messages. Since an SMS message is composed of limited characters. For people to maximize their time, space and penny in sending messages, they usually compose and omit some letters in the words they use but people are still able to read it. Look at the telegram business before "texting" technology came in to the Philippines. Aren't they being paid for every letter, sentence or character? As for the jejemons, these are mostly kids - college students or even elementary students who happened to have generous parents to give them cellphone and money. They came up with teenager cute ways of composing their sentences and yet since the human mind is sooooo great, people are still able to comprehend the "h3lLL0" means "Hello" and "t4k3 c4r3" means "take care". I wish I had enough time to compose my messages in such cute ways. I could've been a jejemon if I am still in school. LOL

This Jejemon phenomenon has become popular in unnecessary proportions. It was good clean fun at the beginning, but when such definitions came to exist, it all became very discriminatory. I know some people who like sending SMS that way, and then only practiced the habit on desktop keyboards. They are intelligent people who just happened to like things a little different. Some things work for them, while for some it doesn't make sense. If you get dizzy reading their messages, tell them politely and in private. Just good vibes!

I'm irritated on Jejemons. I don't know what they're thinking. Why do they have to write a simple word in a very complicated way? I have a friend whose nickname is Jeje. Because of this Jejemon craze she now wants to change her nick :D.

Jejemon is a pop culture phenomenon in the Philippines. Jejemons are defined by Urban Dictionary as those "who has managed to subvert the English language to the point of incomprehensibility and online lynch squads. A Jejemon is described as one of a "new breed of hipsters who have developed not only their own language and written text but also their own sub-culture and fashion. Jejemons also imitate "gangster" like attitudes which make them similar to the English chav, Scottish ned, Irish skanger, Russian gopnik and Australian & New Zealand bogan

I don't like what jejemons are doing with the spelling and grammar and all that has to do with creating a sentence. I don't want to sound discriminatory at all, but the jejemon language is insulting for me. I'm a Journalism graduate and this kind of text and language is an insult to the English grammar and it's also quite irritating to read. I know people say they are artistic and wants to get attention. But I'm pretty sure these "jejemons" are not dumb or does not now anything that they cannot think of other ways to be artistic. I'm sure they are very creative, but don't change the English language. Hehe...I feel like I'm over reacting, but their ways of writing has taken a toll on me.

They are just a bunch of kids who wants to be "the talk of the town" and are "demanding attention" that's why they created the name JEJEMONS to attract the society's attention that they exist. Creating some new words out of the normal word? Maybe they really don't know how to spell and that's reality..

Jejemons are artistic people. They just want to express themselves. For me however, this people should be watched closely by their parents to make sure that they don't forget their spelling and grammar lessons. I often tell my niece not to shorten the words too much because aside from it is hard to understand, it will make her forget the correct spelling of the words especially when she gets comfortable with the jejemon style of writing.
