What makes for a good friend?

What do you need your friend to do or possess in character to be in your book of good friend?

the only thing that I want for the friend to is to be a good friend! it doesn't require too much pressure..just to respect & appreciate the meaning of friendship..to never step us at the back..besides, being a good friend doesn't mean you HAVE to be 247 with us! I have been in such a situation where my friend kept on contacting me like 24/7, coming to my place, and wanted to meet me in uni and get sooooooo desperately mad if she finds me talking with other friends..& she gets so jealous that I started stepping off coz I can't take it any more..So, there must be an understanding too...

That'll become like stalking/possessing and you'll be feeling frighten. Yes, friens doesn't have to see each other daily. Everyone have their own life to lead.

Understanding,empathetic and sensible are the words I find in some of the best known friends of mine or of others.Friends are the only people we can find these traits in.The remaining relationships are highly based on blood,emotions,mutual profit,custom,tradition, business and the like.

For someone to be in the book of good friend well i would consider just two things:- First:- I'll check whether he'she trusts me or not.If he/she does not that means...NOT A GOOD FRIEND. Second:- As u jnow a frend in need is a frend indeed...well i actually take that proverb very seriously.

trust has to be built up. Can't say just because friend you, have to trust you. You need to build that up first, just the same your friends have to build up the trust for you to trust them.

Yes, good friends should let us know the truth even if it hurts. They should be someone that can enlighten us and being honest is a way so we can see things or what our actions are for what they are.

To be a good friend of mine he/she sud unerstand me what i am..We may not have common interest but we must have common thought..i guess!!

Ah, the ones that even without pre arrangements, can cooperate and get things carried through with no flaws. The comedy movies where tricksters work with their partners bring this out best. heeheehee.
