Nope. I don't think it is necessary to ask money before you get married. What's the point? When you are married everything is conjugal. There are some that ask money as dowry. I don't get this. Their daughter is not a thing they own so that they kinda sell them to the husband to be. Anyway I'm against for asking money before marriage.
