It's going to be an exciting day tomorrow. It's election day here in the Philippines. With a lot of people having digital cameras, it's interesting to know what it would be like to be a photo journalist roaming around the city and capturing dramatic images of voters participating in the electoral process. What kind of photos about the election day do you think will be interesting to see? How about a 70-year old man/woman voting with a toddlers accompanying him? Or, armed police breaking up two people fighting?

Haha Bloggeroo, that reminds me of the election day here in Indonesia 6 months ago. You'll always find something dramatic there. I wanna share a unique thing that I saw at the election day at my country... This is the actually I read at the news. The story is like this... After vote, everyone must put their little finger into the ink as the sign that they're already vote. But what about the disabled that don't have arms?? That's exactly what I saw at the news, that person vote, and get the ink into her toes! WOW! Now that's touching, if I imagine her struggle to give her voice for the Leader. Too bad that our 'golput' (means neutral) are high here. If the 'golput' could see that.

Just came from the voting center with my father. It was hard to set up my ideal camera shot esp. with only a Nikon L14. I have to be really close to my subjects. I was walking around the voting center area (which is a public school) to find interesting situations, but all I can see is just a crowd of people going here and there. There are old people and children sitting, standing, walking and so on. And some parents brought their baby infants with them. Unless the baby actually votes, there's nothing much to report that is out of the ordinary. Anyway, the best I can do was a quick shot of several blind voters walking towards their respective voting booths. I still have to crop or improve the contrast of the photo.
