I hate virus's!!!...

I got a trojan when downloading the wrong thing on a website, I have now taken the trojan off my computer however I am still getting pop-ups, does this mean that i still have the virus because everything is working fine now or is there something I need to do to get rid of the pop-ups?
Please help me!

just scan and clean ur c drive manually by the antivirus.. then the pop up will disappear...

I have done that and the virus has gone, however the pop-ups havnt stopped :/

i prefer nod 32.. i think you should restart your computer... some viruses get deleted after you restart..

Yeah I use avast it's really good that is why I am sure the virus has gone im just not sure what to do about the pop-ups i know they are always on internet explorer and I use firefox, maybe i should uninstall internet explorer but im unsure :/

Yes, you might still have virus or malware. Most of the antivirus cannot detect these kind of virus easily as these was a payload of the previous infections you have. download HiJackthis tool from http://free.antivirus.com/hijackthis/.
Run Hijackthis and you can send me the log file for analysis so I can help you get rid of those pop-ups.
