Is baseball America's sport? It depends on your context of that question. It was created in America, but it's played all over the world. That would mean it's a world sport. Just like Basketball, Tennis, Soccer, etc. Football is still more of an American sport. Even though you have the CFL(Okay, so Canada is a part of North America.) The Euro league folded because the fans didn't want to see a second rate product. They were interested in what the NFL had to offer, but only got a poor mans version of the League people in this nation go crazy over every season. Is it the most popular sport? Again, context has to be taken into account here. It's not the most popular sport in America. That would be College Football. Everybody gets so riled up about the silly BCS rankings, and become really invested in every regular season game because of it. Baseball may be America's past time still, but it's popularity and passionate fans pale in comparison. It's more popular in Cuba than it is in America. Soccer/futbol is viewed by pretty much everyone as the most popular sport world wide. That's why the World Cup is such an anticipated event. Disagree? Why is it that the World Baseball Classic never generates as much hype? In a lot of places, Soccer is THE sport. There aren't that many alternatives.
