I had a wonderful time with this year's automated election, which is being implemented for the first time in the Philippines.
I went to the election precinct at 8:00am and minutes later my number was called and I entered the precinct room.It was so easy, after shading the ballot I went straight to the PCOS machine and put it. I am glad the process went smoothly. It was a nice experience and if all the machines are in very good condition, I can say that automated election is such an excellent job.

The voting process is quick. It will only just take at least 2-5 minutes for a person to vote. It's the waiting in line that's really frustrating. I went to the precinct at 7:00 a.m. and I was able to vote around 2:30 p.m. The line of people is really long and they are giving priorities to the elderly and the disabled persons that's why the process is slow, and only 10-15 persons are only allowed at a time. Then there are the minor technical glitches, the brownout and the paper jam in the PCOS machine which took approximately an hour. Whew! It really took a lot of patience for me to stay in line and go through the voting process. Some of our neighbors got really annoyed by the slow system and just went home. Next time, I hope they can improve this.
