Recommend some bands to me

I don't listen to the radio much anymore and am looking for some new music to listen to. I listen to just about anything except country. I usually listen to alternative or heavy rock, but I also like some pop and softer stuff like Regina Specktor, Feist, etc.

well, some of my favorite bands are lifehouse, dashboard confessional, goo goo dolls, the fray and greenday. i have come to like a rocket to the moon too. i don't listen to the radio that much either so i don't know what's good in the latest music these days.
